Treyarnon Taxi and Haulage!

Warren is thinking of starting a new business as there seems to be a call for a site Taxi / Haulage service.
His first customer was Mr Mervin Worth (T9).
The only thing is he will not be giving a discount for OAPs.

A Rare Beasty?

Is this a Gold-ringed Dragonfly (Cordulegaster Boltonii)?
Brian Armstrong (L46) Found the Corpse of this one on his car the other morning and took some pictures.

Help Please

A new toy arrived this afternoon ( thanks Ebay) the only problem is it has been a while since I did any dinghy sailing and am having trouble rigging this lovely early scorpion.
Is any one coming to Treyarnon soon that could give me a few tips please.
The Ferrar family are not due to come for a while yet and I want to be ready to give the Girls a race in the estuary!.

The competition is on!

Well done to Lisa and Mark (K7) for this catch of Pollack whilst out on the kayak this afternoon.
Must be the biggest catch so far this year! unless you can prove different. Photos required as proof.

The new Snak Attak has arrived

Andrea and Tom the owners of Snak Attak the food bar in Treyarnon Bay car park have invested in a new van to help them cope with the demand for their high quality snacks.
You can now get fresh ground coffee to go with your food and the queues should go down quicker.

I wonder who had the very first bacon roll to come off the griddle?

Who said you can not teach an old dog new tricks?

We have just got a life jacket for Alfie from http://www.k9surf.com/ it is called a RUFFWEAR and he is very happy to come out on the kayak in it. The only problem is that he will not keep still and thinks its great fun to attack the paddle, I'm sure it wont be long before he tips me out!

Fish for Supper!

Had a very enjoyable couple of hours out on my kayak yesterday and for a change came home with some fish. The only problem was that despite my excitement at the size of the 2 biggest ones, I was told that Ballan Wrasse (that's what they are apparently) are not usually eaten because of the many bones and they do not taste that good.
Well I filleted them, added lots of black pepper, salt rolled them in flour and then fried in butter, even Lin said it was not too bad with some bread and butter and a bottle of beer.
The pollack and other one (not sure what it is) went straight in the freezer for another day.

Is Treyarnon the new Rock?

Again we are seeing a building being bulldozed to the ground to make way for what I suspect will be yet one more monstrosity to sit on the headland unused except for when Lord and Lady Muck can spare a few days from their busy schedule. Oppps is that an unfair statement?
I for one am concerned that Treyarnon Bay will be turned into the same exclusive enclave of hooray Henry's that Rock has become.
On a lighter note I did wonder if we will find out later that one of our illustrious members of parliament had claimed it on their expenses as second home improvements.
(Wonder if it will have a moat?)

Flaming June?

Not sure that Margaret Fahey would have agreed with the Flaming June statement "wet sausages lovely"
Luckily this photo was taken last year sometime and apart from last Saturday June this year has so far been OK.
Lets hope its the start to a red hot summer, fingers crossed.

A very good week for camping

The weather has been changeable but much better than we have had at Whitsun for the last two years.
The camping field was very busy with the usual suspects in their tourers or under canvas and all seemed to be having a good time.
Luckily the fellow in the picture was staying somewhere else ( unless any of your know differently)
But judging by the quantity of wine bottles and beer cans in the recycling bins yesterday the odd aspirin or two may have been required some mornings.
The forecast is quite good for the next few days but its time you were all back at work and school to give use a rest and a chance to get ready for the summer madness.
See you all then.
Send us your latest Treyarnon photos to go on this years photo page please.
